Two CD set. Buck Owens was an American musician, singer, songwriter and band leader. His instruments of choice were guitar, the fiddle and pedal steel guitar. His country style was based on simple storylines, infectious choruses, twangy electric guitar, and an insistent rhythm supplied by a drum track placed forward in the mix. Beginning in 1969, he co-hosted the TV series Hee Haw with Roy Clark. Buck left the cast in 1986. He is a member of the Country Music Hall Of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame. The Warner Bros. Recordings came to fruition after his best friend Don Rich died in a motorcycle accident in 1974. Andy Wickham of Warner Bros. Signed him away from Capitol. All 41 of Buck's Warner recordings are represented on these two discs. Originally issued on CD in limited quantities on Rhino's Handmade label, this two disc set is available again.
